Finance Administrator

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1. To be responsible for maintaining the entire accounting function of the charity using XERO accounting software, both inputting financial data and preparing financial reports as requested;

2. To keep up to date with statutory regulations, guidelines and best practice for the financial management of charities, ensuring that the CEO is properly advised of the statutory responsibilities;

3. To maintain, and amend where necessary, financial procedures and administrative systems to ensure accurate capture of financial information as required by statute, including cataloging of all receipts and holding staff to proper filing of financial documents;

4. To prepare the end of year returns, financial accounts for the annual audit and complete the annual returns for Companies House and the Charity Commission, liaising as necessary withSave the Independent Auditor, the Trustees and the CEO;

5. To process claims for Gift Aid;

6. To produce, in collaboration with other staff, annual budgets, project budgets, spending authorities, cash flow projections;

7. To provide regular financial reports, both verbally and in writing, to the CEO, including monthly summary of income and expenditure, full monthly profit and loss and management accounts and cash flow projections;


**PERSON SPECIFICATION**


You will have experienced at operating Excel software

You will also be experienced with cloud based accounting systems

You will have experience with charity accounts

You will be exceptionally well organised.

You will be able to work calmly and effectively in a pressured environment

You will be able to communicate clearly and persuasively with your seniors, both verbally and in writing, to explain the financial position of the charity and the need for any proposed reform.

You will have the cultural sensitivity to work with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Persons.
